Vocabulary Quiz, Paragraph #2

Macbeth sat up and to his mirth saw a dagger in front of him. He reached for it but felt nothing. Avaunt, you cloistered dagger! He first thought he was dreaming, so he pinched himself. But the verity of being awake was true. He got up and tried to grab it one more time but he couldn't feel anything. Maybe he saw the dagger because he had to avouch his plan about killing the King. But Then he thought to him self I want to have the eminence of a King and be able to order around thralls to get me food. So he layed down and fell back asleep.

Act 3 Study Questions

Scene 1
1.) It is about how Banquo think Macbeth cheated to get the crown and how maybe what the withches said about him will come true.
-You know have it, the King, the Thane of Cawdor, and the Thane of Glamis. 
Just as The three witches promised.
And I suspect you cheated. 
It was said that your posterity would not get the crown.
But my sons would be kings instead. 
If what the witches said was true.
Maybe what they said about me will come true too. 
But I will be quiet now.
2.) He is afraid that Banquo knows he killed the King. He is also worried that Banquos sons will become king. He would rather have his offspring become king, but he doesn't have any children to become King.
3.) Macbeth killed Duncan for Banquo's sons. 
4.) Told them it was Banquo who made their lives hell. That he would make their lives better if they killed him. 


Scene 2
1.) Macbeth killed Duncan.
2.) It’s better you don’t know about it until after it’s done, when you can applaud it.

Scene 3
1.)  Banquo is murdered and Fleance escapes. 
They didn't kill Fleance, he ran away.


Scene 4
1.) Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo, and no one else can. 
2.) Macbeth is talking about how Banquo is dead and Fleance has escaped and he could come back and be a threat but for now he is not here and bother them . 
3.) He reinforces the the present of supernatural beings. Macbeth's guilt. Macbeth kinda goes crazy, and is confused why he is the only one that can see it. 
4.) Symbolizes guilt. 
5.) She tells everyone that this is something that has happened to hm since he was a child. If you keep watching him it will make them worse. 
Scene 5
1.) She is angry because the witches have been doing everything without her.
- She told them next time when they meet up with macbeth to invite her so they can set up a trap. 
2.) I agree. It is not 10 syllable per line, and it is very rhymey.  


Scene 6
1.) Lennox thinks Fleance killed his father. Macduff has gone to england to form and army with the king.

Vocabulary Words #7

Avaunt- Adverb, away
Avaunt, you smelly toad. 

Thralls- Noun, a person who is a slave
The thralls at my farm, did not cut my wheat the way I wanted them to. 


Posterity- Noun, all descendants of one person
My Great grandpa's posterity live in montana. 

Homage- Noun, respect or reverence paid or rendered

The homage I paid to my king got me two gold coins. 


Cloistered- Adjective, secluded from the world; sheltered
The Cloistered turtle hid under the bush so he didn't have to see anyone. 

Equivocator- Noun, Someone who uses unclear expressions, to avoid commitment. 
The equivocator was making the cops think that he didn't do the crime.


Avarice- Noun, insatiable greed for riches
My avarice was made me break into a bank a steal $100,000.


Parricide- Noun, the act of killing one's father, mother, or other close relative
Mary was killed in a parracide by her own daughter. 


Verity- Noun, the state or quality of being true
The Verity of being true the statement was true when i looked it upon the internet. 

Malevolence- Noun, the feeling of wishing or appearing to wish evil to others
My malevolence toward my cell phone drove me to through it off a cliff. 


Eminence- Noun, high station, rank

The eminence of the school made them win the academic decathlon  


Liege- Noun, a feudal vassal or subject
The liege was supposed to get the Kings coffee, but never did. 

Mirth- Noun, amusement or laughter
It was to my mirth that the actor fell off the stage. 


Avouch- Verb, to admit; confess
The mad had to avouch that he was actually a woman.

Vocabulary Quiz, Paragraph

One day the witches were out for a nice walk drinking from their chalices when all of the sudden a man popped out of the trees. Of course these are dauntless witches they aren't afraid of anything. He told them he has a secret he to tell them. He kept prating about some thing about macbeth but they couldn't understand him. So they told him they were going to give him corporal punishment unless he told them the secret. Once they heard it they knew they had to got after macbeth. The witches still have undivulged the secret. So we will never no why the witches are after macbeth.

Surmised-vb -to think or infer without certain or strong evidence
              As the witness went to the stand he surmised the judge's sentence, but had no rebuttal.  when the judge asked him where he go this evidence. 


Bounteous-adj -giving or disposed to give freely
                 The bounteous women gave her clothes to a homeless shelter.

Consort-n  -company or association
                I was not allowed to consort with strangers.

Corporal-adj -of the human body; bodily; physical: corporal suffering.

                   When bob went to jail, he got corporal punishment for starting a fight.

Prate-vb -to talk excessively and pointlessly, babble

              Riley likes to prate to himself.

Dauntless-adj -no to be intimidated; fearless
                  The little girl was dauntless when she went on the roller coaster. 


Chastise-vb -to discipline
               The teacher decided to Chastise K.C. because he wouldn't stop talking.


Chalice-n -a drinking cup or goblet
           King Bob drank out of his chalice. 


Undivulged-vb  -to disclose or reveal a secret, something private or something not previously known

           I undivulged my best friend's secret to my other friend.

Surfeit-n -excess

         I accidentally gave my fish a surfeit amount of fish food, and he died.
